Greetings from the Founder

Message from Founder/ CEO, Pastor Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr.

It has been an honor and privilege to work with the students of the New Light Intergenerational Outreach Program also known as NARIOP. For over 10 years we've been in partnership with the Guilford Country School System and as a result we have been able to serve thousands of students. We are excited about the investment we are making which is small compared to the return we will receive as lives are impacted and changed one student at a time.

The NARIOP students are some of the best and the brightest however many need various additional assistance. We are blessed to have the opportunity to be a party of their village for truly I believe it does take a village to raise a child. We invite these students to come and worship with us on Sundays or any of our other worshipping experiences. New Light Missionary Baptist Church Campus will always be a safe and nurturing environment.

Sincere Gratitude,

Rev. Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr.

Message from the NARIOP Director

 From Ms. Yvonne Hunt-Perry

It is indeed a pleasure to serve as the Director of the NARIOP (New Light Intergenerational Outreach Program) for over 10 years. As a retired educator, I am committed to making a difference in the lives of our future leaders. It is essential that we build healthy family relationships, encouraging parents to understand they are their child’s first teacher and to support a healthy partnership between home and school. Each parent needs to take advantage of GCS Parent Academy link/ website or call Guilford County Schools at (336) 370-8100 for additional information and resources.

NARIOP has afforded me the opportunity to continue my passion of enriching and empowering the lives of young people as sell as their parents/ guardians. Often, we may need a “second chance.” Parents as well as their children may be considered misplaced, misunderstood, mistaken, misrepresented and misinterpreted. NARIOP provides that positive energy to enlighten this observation.

As the Director of NARIOP, it is essential that I have the blessings of God’s servant and founder, Rev. Dr. Cardes H. Brown Jr., a dedicated and committed staff, the support of Guilford County Schools, and the guidance and support of all community stakeholders.

Sincerely,

Ms. Yvonne Hunt-Perry
